35th Annual Art Auction at Penticton Art Gallery

Posted in Uncategorized on July 4, 2012 by stacystudios

I will be at the door taking tickets along with two of my best friends, Lani and Jo-Anne.

This is the one big event that raises the money needed to run the gallery, so it’s a very worthwhile cause.

One of  the pieces up for auction is Ron’s painting titled “Gorges 2012”. It was a very cold and wet day for the ‘en pein air’ event.

Our first trip to Alberta was the last week of June 2012. We just never had the opportunity before, but we finally made it. Even though we had to drive through the Kootenays and southern Alberta due to flooding of the highway in Sicamous and east of Revelstoke and taking a gruelling 15 hours, we had a great time. No painting was done, alas, but now that we are back and the sun is finally shining, we are set to paint “en plein aire” any day now.
