Opulencia

This spectacular gown is made from raw silk and chinese brocade as well as some other fine fabric pieces. The opulence and the earthy curry colour inspired me to make a fantasy medieval style gown. Her crown like headpiece is finished with a vintage rhinestone detail and long tasseled tresses. The gown is ribboned with ivory and dark rose to add contrast. The caped vest is laced up the centre front and its collar adds drama. Available for sale on Etsy

Coastal Moments

We just arrived home from a trip to the Island. Oh, how we miss it. It was wonderful to see Betty and all our other very dear friends. We went to the 25th Anniversary celebrations of the Island Illustrators Society. We were active members from 1987 through to about 2002 or 3. They have produced a beautiful Journal/Sketchbook with images by past and present members gracing the pages. They will soon be available for purchase from any of the members and in bookstores across Canada.
